Rashid Rahim Jumriany
CEO
Rashid is a highly experienced professional with a remarkable track record spanning over two decades in the hospitality, real estate, and construction industry across both the United Kingdom and the Middle East region. His career journey began in the construction industry within the UK, after which he embarked on a pivotal transition to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. His most recent endeavor is the establishment of RJ Enterprises, where he currently serves as the CEO, a company is mainly focused on construction. The firm has effectively executed numerous projects, contributing to the construction landscape of the UAE.
In addition to his entrepreneurial venture, Rashid boasts an impressive history of occupying prominent leadership roles in several prestigious companies, including VP Eradah Holdings KSA, and Investec LLC. Through these positions, Rashid has cultivated extensive expertise in diverse areas, including business restructuring, nurturing investor relationships, and managing the complexities of international business operations.
Robert Wagner
Robert Wagner is an accomplished professional in the field of private equity and asset management, with an impressive career spanning over two decades. Born in Germany and currently residing in Switzerland and UAE, Wagner holds a degree in Engineering and Business in Real Estate. His career highlights include roles as the Managing Director at Amcoro GmbH, where he focused on real estate and investment consulting, and as the Chief Financial Officer at CEG Invest in Dubai. Wagner also has substantial experience in asset management, demonstrated during his tenure at Feondor Asset Management GmbH, where he managed portfolios worth over $1 billion.
Additionally, he served as a Senior Asset Manager at Babcock & Brown GmbH and as a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers AG, where he enhanced consulting products and sourced new projects. Fluent in English, with basic knowledge of French and Russian, and highly skilled in IT, Wagner's expertise in portfolio management, financial advisory, and asset valuation make him a valuable asset in the real estate and investment sectors.
Muhammad Iqbal
Director – Transaction Advisory
Iqbal holds over two decades of experience in management consulting and financial planning. Most recently, he worked as a financial advisor and management consultant primarily engaged with Alam Alofok, a Saudi-based company with a main focus on the real estate, construction, and hospitality sectors.
In his preceding position as the Head of Research at SDI Capital Limited, Iqbal spearheaded diverse projects encompassing energy, hospitality and entertainment sectors. He also conducted evaluations of potential investments in the UAE and South East Asia.
Iqbal has been involved in projects funded by international organizations, including MDM-Spain, Concern Worldwide, UNDP, and the World Bank. He also acted as an advisor to prospective investors for the Ministry of Industries in Pakistan, conducting sector-specific research and creating feasibility reports and business plans for emerging projects.
Throughout his professional journey, Iqbal has acquired extensive expertise in business planning, management consultancy, and financial advisory. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Public Administration.
Muteeb Ahmad ACCA, CFA
Director – Investment Consultancy & Accounting Advisory
Muteeb Ahmad has 8 years of experience in the investment industry, and has worked in both equity and debt capital markets, gaining valuable experience from various financial institutions.
Prior to joining Desma, Muteeb worked at Jadwa Investment Company, where was an integral part of a two-member team responsible for managing a $100M collateralized loan obligations (“CLOs”) fund. He demonstrated his expertise by assessing CLO managers' performance for potential investment, appraising investment proposals, and continuously monitoring the portfolio for potential rebalancing and adjustments in response to external drivers.
Muteeb also was part of the two-member team which managed a $40M real estate fund that invested in multifamily residential complex in the United States.
Before his time at Jadwa Investment, Muteeb worked at SDI Financial Services SA, where he was responsible for various areas of transaction including communication with legal experts, interaction with investment banks, rating agencies, and insurance firms.
He holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Derby in the UK, a Masters in Accounting from the University of London, and is a holder of both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) designations.
